This organized Community Cleanup event saves residents a trip to the landfill for items that do not fit in their waste and recycling carts or do not have cart service. This service is free of charge to all Calgarians.

RESTRICTED ITEMS

There are some items that the packer trucks will not accept:

Tires
Home Appliances
Household Chemicals
Propane Tanks
Microwaves
Car Batteries
Home Electronics
Liquids
Metals
Glass
RailwayTies
Paint

YARD WASTE

Leaves, branches plants, grass clippings and other yard waste (excluding sod0 will be accepted at Community Cleanup events for composting.  Yard waste must be separate from other items.  All organic materials collected at Community Cleanups will be taken to one of the City’s composting facilities.

HOUSEHOLD ITEM DONATIONS

A non profit will be onsite for clothing and small household item donations.  They cannot accept large furniture or appliances. 

ELECTRONICS RECYCLING

All computers & computer accessories, TVs, copiers, faxes, radios, alarm clocks, coffee machines, microwave ovens, cell phones, blow dryers, speakers, cables, phones, DVD players, record players, cash registers, and other small electronics.  Sorry, we cannot accept large appliances (no ovens, no fridges, no washers, no clothes dryers).

BICYCLE DONATIONS  (in good or minor repair condition)

Stop by the tent and help yourself to a complimentary hotdog and a drink.  Citadel Community Association Board members will be on hand if you have any questions.
